南非山兔

英文 Riverine Rabbit,

栖息于河岸附近的植被中，在大多数鸟类活动的白天，它们却一整天都在睡觉，夜晚活跃。属植食性，以卡鲁沙漠季节性河流沿岸的河岸植被为食，包括大约20种植物。南非山兔是最为稀有及濒危的哺乳动物，数量大约200-400只。只分布在南非开普省高原中部及南部。

The Riverine rabbit is the only member of its genus because of the unique traits that separate it from the other leporids. It is one of the most endangered mammals in the world.
